After winning Best Supporting Actress at the
2026 Critics Choice Awards, Madigan shared that she would "love" to go back and play Aunt Gladys again. It's not often that the actress gets offered substantial parts for a woman her age. A
People report quoted her as saying, "I'm very ultra realist. So until something's real, it's not, because I've been doing this business a long time.”
However, she did add, "But that being said, there has been some discussion about investigating maybe Gladys’ start. And that, I think, would be kind of interesting. And I would love to live back in [filmmaker] Zach [Cregger]’s imagination… So you will see. I hope so. That'd be fun."In her speech at the Critics Choice Awards, the veteran actress seemed surprised by how much audiences liked her character. She stated on stage, "I really wasn't expecting all this because I thought people would like the movie, and I thought people would dig Gladys. But you love Gladys. I mean, it's crazy!"
