movie, being produced by Boney Kapoor himself, has gained pace with Sridev's younger daughter Khushi Kapoor playing the lead along with Karishma Tanna. Mom 2 has seemingly gone on floors, and we at Zoom got hold of some exclusive photos revealing the looks of Khushi and Karishma.

The images show Khushi in a sweatshirt trying to sneak away from the cameras. Meanwhile Karishma is glowing in her non-glam avatar, wearing a salwar-suit. The exclusive photos are taking the excitement a notch higher, leaving us guessing about the possible plotline.

Mom 2 announced with Khushi Kapoor

Boney Kapoor announced Mom 2 in March 2025, with Khushi at the centre of its cast. He revealed his plan during the silver jubilee celebrations of IIFA 2025. The filmmaker said at that time, "I have watched all of Khushi's films. 'Archies', 'Loveyappa' and 'Nadaaniyaan'. I am planning a film with her too after 'No Entry'. It would be a movie with Khushi. It could be 'Mom 2'. She is trying to follow in the footsteps of her mother. Her mother was the top star in all the languages she worked in. I hope Khushi and Janhvi succeeded in this same level of perfection."

About Mom 2

Mom was directed by Ravi Udyawar and got Sridevi the Best Actress National Award, posthumously. Even though Mom 2 is a sequel, it's title reportedly only capitalises on the original's success, it will not be a direct continuation of the 2017 story. The new film will be directed by Girish Kohli, who co-wrote the original, and will focus on a vigilante seeking justice.
