Rahul Sadasivan, who has previously directed horror films such as Red Rain, Bhoothakaalam, and Bramayugam, has helmed Dies Irae which is based on real-life events. The film It also stars Jibin Gopinath and Manohari Joy in important roles.Dies Irae is produced by Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S Sashikanth under Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios, who also backed Bramayugam.Bramayugam cinematographer Shehnad Jalal, composer Christo Xavier, production designer Jothish Shankar, and editor Shafique Mohamed Ali are part of the technical crew. Dies Irae will have a run time of 115.3 minutes, which means that it is touted to be a crisp thriller at less than 2 hours duration.
