Deepika Padukone To Shoot 'Intense Action Sequence' For Allu Arjun's Raaka During Second Pregnancy - Report

April 19, which also falls on Akshaya Tritiya, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh revealed that they were expecting their second child soon. They are already parents to daughter Dua Padukone Singh, who was born in 2024. However, the Pathaan actress is not slowing down one bit. A new report suggests that she will be filming for the Telugu film Raaka with Allu Arjun and one of the sequences will involve intense action. Besides the Atlee film, Deepika also has Siddharth Anand's King with Shah Rukh Khan lined up for this year.

Deepika Padukone will film Raaka during second pregnancy

According to Hindustan Times, Deepika is going to finish her film commitments while pregnant. A source shared that the actress is filming for Raaka and will be shooting intense action sequences on the Atlee film. The makers will be taking precautions for Deepika's safety during the shoot. The title and first look of the film were revealed on Allu Arjun's birthday on April 8. A few portions of SRK's King also have to be completed and Deepika will be completing both this year.

Also starring Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi and Rani Mukerji, King is releasing on December 24, 2026. Meanwhile, Atlee's Rakka, produced by Sun Pictures, is targeting a 2027 release. Janhvi Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Mrunal Thakur are also part of the ensemble star cast.

Deepika's unfinished projects

In 2024, the actress joined Rohit Shetty's cop universe as DCP Shakti Shetty in Singham Again. A spinoff film of her character was in the works. Additionally, Deepika was also slated to produce and star in the Hindi remake of the Hollywood feature The Intern (2015). Amitabh Bachchan stepped in after Rishi Kapoor died and the film was supposed to begin filming in 2025.

Deepika and Ranveer's relationship timeline

The couple's daughter Dua was the one who announced her sibling with a photo of her holding a positive pregnancy test. The former co-stars met while filming Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela for Sanjay Leela Bhansali. They were married in November 2018 at Italy's Lake Como in a private but lavish wedding attended by friends and family. Two receptions, one in Mumbai and one in Bengaluru, were held for industry colleagues and other friends.

They welcomed Dua in September 2024 and revealed her first photo a year later in October 2025. The couple's latest joint post on Instagram has drawn support from Bollywood as friends and co-stars such as Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Kapoor and Sara Arjun have congratulated them and wished them love for their second baby.
