Season 5 has been creating a solid buzz amongst the masses ever since the makers dropped the teaser of an upcoming web series. Gullak 5 will be out on SonyLiv on June 5. The show has its own fan base. The Mishra family has made a place in the audience’s hearts. Gullak’s strong and relevant storyline of a middle-class family touched the hearts of a lot of people in India. In the show, one name would often be discussed in almost every episode of the previous seasons, i.e., Pinky Mama. Well, everybody was curious to know who exactly Pinky Mama is. And now, the wait is over as Gopal Datt has joined Gullak season 5 as Pinky Mama.

Meet Pinky Mama

The makers of Gullak 5 shared a promo of the show featuring Pinky Mama. Gopal Datt is playing the role of Pinky Mama in the show. The clip shows the Mishra family discussing Pinky Mama’s greatness. However, Santosh Mishra is not happy with it, as he feels Pinky is a fraud. Then, Pinky Mama enters the Mishra house and leaves his sister and nephew happy. He flaunts his wealth and says that he is a businessman. On the other hand, Santosh Mishra is seen getting miffed with his statements and says that he is a fraud. The dynamic between Santosh and Pinky Mama is going to be an interesting thing to watch in Gullak Season 5.

Gopal Datt is a new addition to the show after Anant Joshi joined a popular web series as Annu Mishra. Gopal has been working in the industry for more than 25 years. He shot to fame with his supporting role in Salman Khan’s Tere Naam (2004). After that, Gopal did many films and TV shows. After the boom of digital content, he started featuring more in web series. Some of his notable web shows are Delhi Crime, The Office, Candy, Chandravyuh, London Files, Kaalkoot, Space Gen: Chandrayaan and so on.

About Gullak Season 5

Coming back to Gullak Season 5, the show has been directed by Shreyansh Pandey. It also stars Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Harsh Mayar, Sunita Rajwar Saad Bilgrami and others in key roles. Before Anant Joshi, Vaibhav Raj Gupta played the role of Annu Mishra in the show. Gullak’s first season was released in 2019. After the success of the first season, the makers continued the story with several seasons of the show.
