Malayalam actor Santhosh K Nair died at the age of 65. Reportedly, he met with an accident this morning around 6:30 AM. The accident took place in Adoor, Kerala. His wife, Subhashree, also sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical attention. After the accident, Santhosh was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. According to reports, his car rammed into a lorry and its driver was also injured in the crash. Further development on the accident has not been disclosed yet. Santhosh, born in Thiruvanantapuram, was working in the Malayalam film industry since 1982. He appeared in over 100 films, mostly in supporting roles. He played villainous, comic, and character roles in Malayalam cinema. He was seen in films such as Sthalathe Pradhana Payyans (1993), Mafia (1993), Kavadiyattam (1993), and Aayirappara (1993), where he showcased his skills in comedy and drama. Nair frequently portrayed henchmen, secondary antagonists, police aides, and comedic side characters, often working alongside leading Malayalam stars.Through the 1990s, Nair became a familiar on-screen presence, appearing in a continuous stream of mid-budget entertainers and masala films. In the 2000s, his appearances became less frequent but still reflected his versatility, as he continued to take on small yet noticeable parts.

Interestingly, Santhosh shared a close bond with Mohanlal. They were contemporaries at MG College. While he did a BSc in Mathematics, the Drishyam actor pursued Commerce.
