Varun Dhawan is all set to feature in an upcoming war drama, Border 2, which is scheduled to be released this Friday (January 23) ahead of Republic Day 2026. As we all know, Border 2 is a spiritual sequel
to the 1997 blockbuster film, Border. Varun is playing the role of Indian army soldier Hoshiar Singh Dahiya in the Anurag Singh-directed film. Today (January 22), a day before Border 2 release, Varun Dhawan shared a bunch of behind-the-scenes pictures on Instagram and explained how the patriotic film is special and different for him in terms of experiences.

Varun Dhawan shared his favourite off-screen moments from the sets of Border 2 on Instagram and mentioned that the film really pushed him to his limits. According to Varun, the film changed him for good. He can’t wait for the audience to watch Border 2 on the big screen since he has experienced personal life changes, injuries and many other things while filming for it.
Varun Dhawan called all the pictures ‘one of his favourite background pieces’ from Border 2. The post is now going viral on social media, and many netizens have started reacting to it. Varun fans sent him best wishes, while some netizens confessed that they have already booked the tickets.
During the pre-release event of Border 2, Varun Dhawan reacted to the trolls. He stated that he is only focusing on his work and doesn’t want to pay attention to any negative comments. He just wants all his fans to watch him in Border 2 and pass the verdict.
Border 2 advance booking update
The advance booking for Border 2 had started a couple of days ago. As per reports, the film is expected to earn more than Rs 10 crore on the first day. Border 2 also features Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in the pivotal roles. Based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war, the war drama also has Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Anya Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Paramvir Singh Cheema and others in supporting roles.
