week after the drowning death of actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, his wife Priyanka Sarkar and other members of the West Bengal Motion Pictures Artists' Forum marched to demand justice for the late actor on Saturday, April 4. Rahul died in a drowning incident in Talsari, Odisha, on the sets of his Star Jalsha show Bholebaba Paar Karega. The forum members also called for a fair and transparent probe into Rahul's death. The 43-year-old actor was taken to Digha Hospital, but he was declared dead before he could receive medical attention. A First Information Report (FIR) has also been filed against the producers of the show.

Priyanka Sarkar, walked from Technicians' Studio to Radha Studio with signs that said 'Justice for Rahul.' Key members of the Bengali film fraternity, including filmmakers Aparna Sen, Anjan Dutt, Srijit Mukherjee, Kaushik Ganguly, and actors Parambrata Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Riddhi Sen, and Kaushik Sen, were seen among the protestors. They demanded justice for Rahul's untimely death.
A press meet was held outside the Regent Park police station with actors Prosenjit Chatterjee, Santilal Mukherjee, and Rituparna Sengupta at the briefing. An FIR was filed against the production house Magic Moments as they have not addressed any of the questions asked to them in Rahul's shocking death. The forum had written to the producers on April 1 and hadn't received any satisfactory answers in the matter in their response a day later. According to a report in the Press Trust of India (PTI), the forum asked for "real truth and exact circumstances behind the incident to come to light." Rahul's wife, Priyanka, did not speak to the media.
