Director Sudha Kongara's political drama Parasakthi, starring Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa, and Ravi Mohan, hit cinemas on January 10. The release is a huge relief for the makers and fans, as the film was cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) after reportedly undergoing 23 cuts. Originally set to clash with Thalapathy Vijay's Jana NayaganJana Nayagan, Parasakthi now enjoys a solo release in Tamil for the festive season of Pongal. Ravi Mohan, along with his companion Kenishaa Francis, attended the film's early shows at a popular Chennai theatre, where they also spoke to the press separately. Francis Reviews Ravi Mohan’s ParasakthiWhen reporters asked Kenishaa for her verdict on the film, she said, “It doesn't matter if he plays a villain or hero; it is because of him that the film will do well. I cannot see anyone else in the film. I feel the movie was made for him, and he has worked really hard over the last six months.” Sharing her views on Ravi Mohan’s role as the antagonist she added, “Initially, it did look tough, but in the second half he plays a key role.” On the CBFC controversy, she said, “We must respect the decision.”
