Dharmendra's Classic Film Inspired Sunny Deol To Do Border
At a recent event by Amazon Music, the
Border 2 actor said, "
Border film ki shuruat hui thi kyunki mene bachpan mein jab papa ki film Haqeeqat dekhi thi, aur us film ne mujhme bohot josh bhar diya tha. Kher fauji toh nahi bana, actor ban gaya. Jab actor ban gaya, toh mene socha mujhe bhi papa ki tarah ek army ki film karni hai, aur wahan se ye baat shuru hui. Mein JP sahab se mila aur fir ye journey shuru hui jise apne dekha. (The idea for the film Border came because, as a child, I watched my father’s film
Haqeeqat, and that film filled me with immense enthusiasm. Though I didn’t become a soldier, I became an actor. When I became an actor, I thought I too should make an army film like my father, and that’s how this idea began. I met JP sir, and then this journey started, which you have now seen.)"
Further, he added, "
Mein kayi fauji se mila hoon, jinhone mujhe bola ki Border dekhne ke baad unhone army join ki, to ye sunkar khushi hui bohot. I have met many soldiers who told me that after watching
Border, they decided to join the army. Hearing this makes me very happy."
