Shiva Re-Release: Ram Gopal Varma, Nagarjuna, Amala Celebrate Film On Bigg Boss Telugu 9

Ram Gopal Varma and the stars of Shiva, Nagarjuna and Amala, gathered together on the stage of Bigg Boss Telugu 9 to celebrate the re-release of the film. The Telugu film was released in theatres on October 5, 1989. A year later, the Hindi remake with almost the same team was released on December 7, 1990. Bigg Boss Telugu 9 host Nagarjuna surprised the housemates by bringing out his Shiva co-star and wife, Amala Akkineni. The couple talked about the journey in their classic film. They even danced to a few songs from Shiva. Later, director Ram Gopal Varma joined them. More about Shiva's re-release

Shiva has been restored and is being re-released in 4K on November 14. The Telugu film's original sound was reworked and converted to a Dolby Atmos mix with advanced AI engineering. The landmark film launched Nagarjuna's career and also starred Raghuvaran. Ram Gopal Varma's directorial debut feature became the highest-grossing Telugu film of 1989. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack and score as well.
