Dhar’s spy action thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and others, hit theatres on December 5, 2025. The film has garnered positive reviews and reportedly earned Rs 27 crore on its opening day in India. Following its release, director Sujoy Ghosh shared his thoughts after watching the film in a theatre. He was thoroughly impressed with both the gripping storyline and the stellar performances of the cast.

Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh in the lead role. On Saturday, took to X (Formerly known as Twitter) and, expressed his admiration, writing, "saw dhurandhar by aditya. just loved everything about the film. superb writing by aditya, and with vikas, saini and shiv it becomes awe inspiring stuff." Sujoy went on to praise the entire ensemble cast for their outstanding performances. He wrote, “and the cast was so good so good so good! each of them a monster of an actor. go see. rush..”

Dhurandhar wins at box office
Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, debuted on 5,000 screens nationwide. The film saw strong opening day collections, with morning shows at 16% occupancy, rising to over 28% in the afternoon due to positive word of mouth. By 6 pm, it had already earned Rs 17.44 crore net, surpassing early estimates of Rs 15–18 crore. Analysts predict the total could exceed Rs 20 crore by the end of the day.
