The
entertainment industry continues to mourn the loss of veteran actor Satish Shah, who passed away at the age of 74 on October 25 due to kidney failure. His death has left fans and colleagues heartbroken, especially those who shared the screen with him in the iconic sitcom Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, where his character Indravadan became a household name and a symbol of timeless humour.
Sumeet remembers 'dad' Satish Shah
Actor Sumeet Raghvan, who played Indravadan’s son Sahil Sarabhai in the cult-favourite series, posted an emotional video on X, bidding a heartfelt farewell to his on-screen father and dear friend. Fighting back tears, he said,“2004 me humne ek show shuru kiya aur 70 episodes ke baad humne wo show band kar diya kyunki wo chala nahi. Aaj 21 saalon baad wo show logon ki dilon ki dhadkan ban gaya hai - Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. Log identify karne lage hain uss show ke kirdaron se. Aakar kehte hain main mere ghar ka Sahil hoon, ye jo hai humare ghar ka Rosesh hai aur ye bilkul Monisha ki tarah behave karti hai meri biwi. Lekin kisi ne ye kisi ne nahi kaha ki ye humare ghar ke Indravadan hain, kyunki Indravadan ek hi hain aur wo hai Satish Kaka. Wo aaj hum sab ko chhod kar chale gaye hain.”He continued, visibly emotional and fighting back tears, “Ye show jitna bada ho raha, usi tarah humara bond bhi utna mazboot hai. Jab bhi hum ek doosre se milte hain, hum Sumeet, Rajesh ya Rupali nahi hote, hum Sahil, Rosesh, Monisha aur Dad aur Mom isi tarah ek doosre se baat karte hain. Aaj jo family ka karta-purush hai, jo sabse senior sadasya hai, wo hum sab ko chhod kar chale gaye hain. Kaafi dino se joojh rahe the, life can be very cruel. Jitne bhi fans hain Sarabhai ke, wo apne condolences bhej rahe hain. Iss parivar ka bada beta hone ke naate, aap sab ki condolences accept karta hoon. Dad se yahi kehta hoon, ki save travels Dad and see you on the other side.”The actor captioned the video, "Love you satish kaka.. Love you dad...We all love you and miss you indu..narad muniiiii.."Watch his emotional video:Satish Shah - an iconic figure in Indian entertainment industry
