What is the story about?
After
the release of the prequel series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, it's the turn of another Game of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon, to take center stage. Based on George RR Martin's Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon Season 3 unveiled a new trailer and release date. The show will return on HBO internationally on June 21 and in India a day later on JioHotstar. Starring Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Fabien Frankel, Rhys Ifans and Steve Toussaint, the Targaryen battle for the Iron Throne intensifies.

On social media, the official account of Game of Thrones posted the trailer and wrote, "There will be no doubt who the gods have chosen to rule." The new season finally delves into the war between Rhaenyra (D'Arcy) and King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney), aka the false king. Ormund Hightower (James Norton), Lord of Oldtown and Alicent Hightower's (Olivia Cooke) cousin, also makes his entry as he readies to fight on her behalf with Daeron Targaryen’s new dragon, Tessarion.

The trailer also hints at the future of the Targaryen line as it states, "They say every time a Targaryen is born, the gods toss a coin and the world holds its breath." Showrunner Ryan Condal has promised fans that the upcoming season will be dark, funny, action-packed and emotional.The trailer also teases many dragons that will be part of the narrative, including Daemon's (Matt Smith) Caraxes. The tagline for the new season is 'From Fire Comes Darkness.'
