Farhan Akhtar, Ritiesh Deshmukh mourn Satish Shah's death in heartfelt posts
The actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, who is the son of lyricist-poet Javed Akhtar and actress Honey Irani, posted on Instagram, "There’s too much to say about what you meant to my family but in summary, we loved you and will continue to love you. Satish uncle. RIP." He also shared a black and white photograph of the late actor. Farhan had worked with the veteran only once, on the Hindi film Himalay Putra (1997), where he was an assistant director.

On his Instagram Stories, the Ved actor-filmmaker wrote that he was "deeply saddened and heartbroken."
He added, "'Comedy is not what you do with the lines but what you do in between the lines' - these words from Satish ji on the sets of my debut film Tujhe Meri Kasam have stayed with me as my guiding light throughout my career. Working with him in many films was a privilege. His warmth, inviting me to his home several times to have the world's best Poha made by his lovely wife Madhuji, is a memory I'll cherish forever. A man of immense knowledge, wisdom, wit, and humility, Satish ji's passing leaves a void in our hearts. His legacy will live on through his incredible work. Rest in glory, Sir. Deepest condolences to Madhuji and his loved ones.Satish Shah's last rites were held in Mumbai on October 26 at the Pawan Hans crematorium. The cast and crew of the cult classic TV show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai were amongst the numerous celebrities that attended his funeral.
