Mohanlal's L365: Thudarum Director Tharun Moorthy REPLACES Austin Dan Thomas?

Actor Mohanlal is all set to reunite with Thudarum director Tharun Moorthy for a new film which will be produced by Ashiq Usman Productions. The project was officially announced with a photo of Mohanlal with the

core team. It is scripted by Ratheesh Ravi, who previously wrote films such as Pullikkaran Staraa, Ishq and Adi. However, fans have begun to speculate about Mohanlal's film with director Austin Dan Thomas, which was announced as L365.

Mohanlal's L365: Has Tharun Moorthy Replaced Austin Dan Thomas?

As per reports, Mohanlal's new film is not the same project that was previously announced with Austin Dan Thomas. The film has been reportedly shelved after the makers weren't pleased with its final draft. It has also been said that Tharun Moorthy, has stepped in to helm his idol Mohanlal's film putting a pause to his other directorial projects.Sources close to the team say the new film is a cop story, but different from the one announced earlier with Austin Dan Thomas.

Interestingly, Mohanlal and Tharun were planning to reunite for another film to be produced by M Renjith. The project was announced in October during Thudarum's success celebration event, but it is uncertain which of these will go on floors first. While Torpedo is a multistarrer with Fahadh Faasil, Naslen, Arjun Das and Ganapathi, Operation Cambodia, will star Prithviraj Sukumaran, is the sequel to the director's 2021 film, Operation Java. Thudarum, directed by Tharun Moorthy, received both critical acclaim and commercial success, earning Rs 100 crore globally.

Mohanlal will be seen in Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, featuring an ensemble cast including Mammootty, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, and Kunchacko Boban. He is also reported to make a cameo in Dileep’s upcoming film Bha Bha Ba. Meanwhile, his daughter Vismaya is set to make her acting debut in Jude Anthany Joseph’s next film, Thudakkam.
