Pradeep Ranganathan's third film of the year, LIK (Love Insurance Kompany), which is directed by Vignesh Shivan, has been awaiting release since the beginning of 2024. The film was initially speculated
to hit theatres on Valentine's Day 2025, later the makers announced that the film will release on September 18, it was then postponed to October 17 to be released for the Deepavali. With Pradeep Ranganathan's fourth film, Dude, helmed by Keerthiswaran, slated for release on the same day LIK was once again postponed to December 18, 2025. However, speculations are rife that the film's release has been delayed once again.
Pradeep Ranganathan's LIK To Avoid Clash With James Cameron's Fire and Ash: Reports
As per reports, the makers of LIK are keen on shifting the release date to avoid clash James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash which is opening in theatres on December 19. With the box office success of the previous films in the franchise, the third film is sure to bring high footfalls to theatres thereby reducing the screens for LIK. However, the makers are yet to officially announce the postponement of the film.
During Deepavali, Vignesh Shivan spoke about the film's delay, he shared a couple of pictures of the celebrations with Nayanthara, his kids, in a party hosted by Chiranjeevi, which was also attended by Sreeleela, Rana Daggubati. It is backed by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures, as well as SS Lalit Kumar's Seven Screen Studio. On the technical front, the film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography handled by Ravi Varman and Sathyan Sooryan, and editing by Pradeep E Ragav.
