On December 9, TIME officially posted on its Instagram handle. "Netflix hit 'KPop Demon Hunters' is TIME's Breakthrough of the Year. Celebrities from Andy Samberg to Kelly Clarkson declared their love for the movie, while 'Fortnite' began allowing players to purchase 'Demon Hunters' “skins” for their characters. Novak Djokovic danced to its infectious track “Soda Pop” after winning a quarterfinal match at the U.S. Open (sic)."

Arden Cho, who voiced for its femae lead Rumi reacted to the post with a "YAY Huntrix!!" The official handles of Netflix and the movie also reacted. "Omg our COVER GIRLS!" read Netflix Golden's comment.Fans also reacted to the news on X (formerly Twitter).
