Idiots is a blockbuster Indian comedy-drama that humorously highlights the intense pressures of the education system. Starring Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi in the lead roles, the film is inspired by Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone. Much to the fans' delight, Aamir recently confirmed that 3 Idiots 2 is indeed in the making and director Rajkumar Hirani is already working on it. He also added that the sequel will follow the story of Rancho, Farhan, and Raju after 10 years. Now, a recent report claimed that Vicky Kaushal is in the talks to join the sequel as the 4th Idiot.
Vicky Kaushal to play 4th Idiot?
Pinkvilla reported that Vicky Kaushal is likely to play a 4th idiot in
3 Idiots sequel, joining the iconic trio of
Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi who plays Rancho, Farhan, and Raju, respectively. The portal mentioned that Vicky has already read the script and loved it. His character is likely to bring an emotional and new narrative to the original trio. “Kaushal is keen on sharing screen space with Aamir Khan and contributing to a franchise that enjoys immense recall value,” added the source.
The report also mentioned that multiple meetings had already taken place between Vicky, Aamir, and Hirani, and that Vicky had verbally agreed to play the part of the 4th Idiot, although it was noted that the timelines had to be coordinated for the full cast. Meanwhile, Vicky will first wrap up Mahavatar, which is slated to go on floors soon.

3 Idiots and described it as "really good." Aamir, who played Rancho in 3 Idiots, further shared that while there was still more work to be done on it, the story had evolved into something very beautiful. He mentioned that its humor was quite strong and the story was also quite exceptional. According to him, it had the same characters as
3 Idiots, but its setting was 10 years later. He mentioned that this was the film he planned to work on in the near future and praised Abhijat Joshi and Rajkumar Hirani for their excellent writing and conception.

3 Idiots also features Boman Irani, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and others in crucial roles. The film focused on the journey of Rancho and his friends towards success amid the rigid Indian education system.
