Muchhal has received interim relief from the Bombay High Court after filing a defamation case against Vidnyan Mane, who claims to be a close friend of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana. The court has directed Vidnyan Mane to immediately stop making or publishing any further remarks of a similar nature against Palaash Muchhal. The order comes after a series of serious public allegations were made by Vidnyan Mane in media interviews and on social media. Palaash Muchhal denied all the claims and filed a defamation case.
Bombay High Court Restrains Smriti Mandanna's Friend Vidnyan Mane
As reported by ETimes, the composer's advocate Shreyansh Mithare said the court's order of restraining Vidnyan Mane from making any further remarks is a big relief for Palaash. He said the court has immediately stopped false comments against him. He added that if someone makes allegations, they must have proof. Right now, there is no evidence against Palaash.
Shreyansh also said the claims are baseless and made only to gain media attention. He said Palaash is completely innocent and the allegations are being spread just for publicity.
What Did Vidnyan Mane Say About Palaash Muchhal?
Vidnyan Mane had made several strong allegations against Palaash Muchhal following reports that his wedding with Smriti Mandhana was called off. Vidnyan claimed that he was present at the wedding celebrations in November 2025 when
Palaash was allegedly caught with another woman. He was quoted as saying that Palaash was found "red-handed" and was beaten up by Indian women cricketers present there.Vidnyan also accused Palaash of cheating him of over Rs 40 lakh in connection with a proposed film project. He claimed that he has saved chats and phone recordings as proof and is ready to share them with the police and media.
Palaash Muchhal's Defamation Case Against Vidnyan Mane
Following these allegations, Palaash issued a public statement on social media calling the claims "baseless and factually incorrect." He stated that the remarks were made with malicious intent to damage his reputation and would not go unchallenged. His lawyer Shreyansh Mithare had said that his client is mentally prepared to fight the case legally and does not want to engage in a public war of words.Palaash has sought Rs 11 crore in damages for alleged defamation. The High Court has given Vidnyan Mane two weeks to file his reply and provide material to support the claims he made against the composer in public.
