On Monday, November 24, Rakul took to her X handle (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "Hi guys... it's come to my notice that someone is impersonating on WhatsApp as me and chatting with people. Please notice this isn't my number and do not engage in any random conversations. Kindly block."

Earlier, actresses Aditi Rao Hydari and Shriya Saran had also flagged similar impersonation attempts.Earlier this year, Rakul suffered a serious back injury while performing a deadlift during her workout session. Taking to her Instagram Story, the Runway 34 star provided an honest update about her health. "Hi, my lovely people! Here’s a little health update. I made a foolish mistake by not listening to my body. I experienced a spasm and, despite the warning signs, I pushed through, which turned into a major injury. I've been on bed rest for six days now, and I anticipate needing another week to recover fully. I really hope to bounce back faster because resting is quite difficult for me. This has been a valuable lesson in heeding my body's signals. I thought my mind was stronger than my body, but that isn't always the case. Thank you all for your well wishes, especially those who miss me. I will come back stronger!"
