Directed
by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will feature Tom Holland back as the web-slinger for the fourth time. Besides Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, it will feature an eclectic group of actors such as Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Tramell Tillman, and Marvin Jones III playing some new characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Severance actor Tramell Tillman’s role was revealed to be that of an antagonist to Holland’s Peter Parker. Now, a new report reveals that the actor is set to play a lesser-known X-Men villain; he has also signed a multi-picture deal with Marvel Studios. Find out more below.
Tramell Tillman to play this X-Men villain
According to
Nexus Point News, Tramell Tillman will be playing X-Men villain, William Metzger, in the upcoming film
Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The character is an anti-mutant and leads the Department of Damage Control (DODC) in the superhero film. The Emmy winner and
Severance star is also set to return in Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men films after signing a multi-picture deal.
In the comic books, Metzger first appeared in
X-Men: Children of the Atom 1 in 1999. Created by Joe Casey and Steve Rude, the character led the Anti-Mutant Militia and was eventually killed by Magneto.
Sadie Sink connection in Spider-Man: Brand New Day
If Tillman is playing Metzger, then there is a very good possibility that
Stranger Things star Sadie Sink could be playing Jean Grey in the film. Her character has been under surveillance by the DODC. Another recent clue from the Disney+ series
Wonder Man also points in that direction. Arian Moayed reprises his role as DODC agent Cleary, who is tracking Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), and the series is co-created by Spider-Man: Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton.

Spider-Man film; he previously directed

Wonder Man series.
