Spirit:
Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's maiden collaboration Spirit is never not making headlines. Be it casting updates, poster release, and chatter around storyline, Spirit has been buzzing high ever since its announcement. The upcoming project also faced with its fair share of controversies with Deepika Padukone's exit. Just when Spirit finally seemed to be on the right track, news about the exit of another actor spread like wildefire. A report stated that Prakash Raj is no longer part of the film and reason was all the more shocking.
Prakash Raj Breaks Silence
The Singham actor addressed the ongoing speculation and called it 'fake news'. Taking to X, Prakash Raj clarified that he has not even started shooting for Spirit. He slammed those spreading fake stories and asked them to 'grow up and have a life'. Take a look at his tweet -
Earlier, Deepika Padukone was dropped from Spirit reportedly due to her 8-hour shift demand. She has been replaced by Triptii Dimri, who is now the leading lady opposite Prabhas. Triptii and Sandeep earlier worked together in Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, which turned the Laila Majnu actress into an overnight sensation.
What Did The Report Say?
Prakash Raj is playing a crucial part in the Prabhas starrer. His voice even featured in the film's launch video. However, a report by OTTPlay claimed that the actor is no longer associated with the project. The development came at a time when Spirit is already being filmed in Hyderabad. The report suggested that the decision to remove him was taken after problems arose on the sets during filming, leading to an unexpected change in the cast at this stage.
According to the same report, Prakash Raj and Sandeep Reddy Vanga had a serious argument over the script and a particular scene. The disagreement reportedly became heated, after which the actor exited the film. It was also claimed that the senior actor's behaviour during certain moments on set did not please the makers, which pushed them to take this strong step.
Spirit Release Date
The makers, T-Series, announced earlier this year that Spirit will release in theatres worldwide on March 5, 2027. Prabhas will be essaying a cop, whereas Triptii is his love interest. Spirit also features Vivek Oberoi and Kanchana in important roles. The films marks the very first collaboration between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga and the expectations are sky high from this combo.
