Harshvardhan Rane on pickleball
Talking about the rising popularity of pickleball, Harshvardhan told us, “Anything that does well like, let’s say my film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, it has a connect with the audience and why pickleball is doing so well. You can't just make people like something. There has to be legs in it. There are some qualities of the sport. It has factor where elders and youngsters both enjoy. It is fun but also physical. It's not just hardcore physical like tennis, rugby as a sport, after a certain age you maybe not be able to play. This falls in a sweet spot for all age groups to come and get involved.”

He, because of the kind of exposure that he has given to all of us for so many years, knows what is the pulse of the society and the texture very well. I don't think it's an far-fetched or very difficult task for him to pinpoint. He is well-versed with what people consume and this is absolutely that sport which is bringing people out and it's being celebrated as a festival because we as Indians love celebrating things and make everything into a festival. Laughter, fun, physicality, sweating, and competitiveness all in one.”
