Bhatt has been receiving a lot of backlash on social media for degrading the television industry in the Bigg Boss 19 house. For the unversed, she said that she won’t ever work in TV shows because she has done theatre; hence, her acting would be wasted there. Sayantani Ghosh, who was a part of Bigg Boss 6 and will next be seen in Zee TV’s show Jagadhatri, has slammed Farrhana Bhatt for her opinion. In an exclusive interaction with Zoom/Telly Talk India, the actress reacted to the remarks against the TV industry.
Sayantani Ghosh on Farrhana Bhatt’s remarks against TV
During a candid chat with us, Sayantani Ghosh strongly condemned Farrhana Bhatt’s opinion about the TV industry. She said, “I have always been a very strong flagbearer of the TV fraternity. We are artists. I don't think the medium should count. We try so much to copy the Western media in terms of styling and execution of programming. If you see one thing in the west, it is that you won't see the demarcations. A lot of big actors focus on scripts but not mediums. I never really appreciate these demarcations, especially when someone looks down upon TV. I feel the most reachable platform in every household is TV. Every filmmaker uses the TV platform to promote their big projects for a wider reach.”Also Read : BB19: Farrhana Bhatt SLAMMED For 'Tu Aurat Hai' Comment On Gaurav Khanna, Netizens Urge Salman Khan To Take Action Without mentioning any Bigg Boss 19 contestants’ names, Sayantani Ghosh said that people use TV to get fame. She said, “Without getting into what Bigg Boss people have said, eventually you have come to do a TV show only. Why have you come here? Because you want to connect to the audience. Every medium has its pros and cons. The TV industry gives employment opportunities to so many people. But unfortunately, people still look down on TV. In fact, many casting directors avoid casting TV actors in web shows. I feel TV actors are the most technically sound artists because they deliver their performances on a daily basis. Whatever I have learnt is just because of television. It's high time. I seriously feel TV actors are very under-deserved. So, TV should get more respect.” Talking about Sayantani Ghosh, her show, Jagadhatri, is coming on November 10, 2025, on Zee TV. Also starring Sonakshi Batra and Farman Haider in key roles, Sayantani is playing the role of Maya Deshmukh. Stay tuned for more updates!Do you find this article useful?
