He was arrested by the UP police for claiming to be a personal assistant to a sitting MP and projecting close links with the MP's family. These are currently being verified. For the unversed, the reality show's boyfriend came into the limelight in 2022 when he was spotted with Anjali.

What did police say about Akash Sansanwal's arrest?

SSP Meerut Dr Vipin Tada told Times of India that Akash was driving a Scorpio bearing a legislator's pass. When verification was done, the pass was found to be forged, following which the content creator was taken into the custody. "We have lodged an FIR under section 318-4 (Cheating by Personation/Fraud using False Identity), 338 (Forgery of Valuable Security), 336 (Forgery for the purpose of cheating), 340 (Forged document or electronic record and using it as genuine) and all were sent to jail," the SSP said.
