Stranger Things 5: Ahead Of Finale, Discussing 5 Intense Fan Theories That Might Come True
Times Now
When Stranger Things first debuted on Netflix in 2016, many doubted its idea of having a group of young kids holding onto the entire plot, and the story being told primarily from their point of view. But,
this was exactly hit the bull's eye ensuring Stranger Things breaks the clutter and offers a unique storytelling of a genre nobody would ever think of connecting with a bunch of teenage children. It was a supernatural horror, and not even belonging to the modern age!As the show gears up for its big finale, a lot if being discussed about the possible events that might unfold in the plot ahead. Infact its trailer has fueled up many possibilities too.
Top 5 Fan Theories Ahead Of Stranger Things Season 5
Eddie Muson is alive
Eddie could infact return based on the Kas theory. It explains that Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn, might have cheated death and turned into Kas the Betrayer. Kas, who was once a knight, is turned into a vampire, initially working as Vecna's right-hand man, much like the Dungeons and Dragons character Kas, but ultimately betraying him. This aligns with the fact that we never got to see Eddie's dead body after Demobats attacked him.
Vecna is Mind Flayer
This theory suggests that Vecna is in control and created the Mind Flayer after being banished to the Upside Down. After his transformation, Vecna used his psychic abilities to form the Mind Flayer out of the Upside Down's particles, shaping it into a gargantuan, spider-like creature inspired by his interest in black widow spiders, which we saw him sketching during childhood as Henry Creel. The Mind Flayer serves for large-scale attacks on Earth, while Vecna commands the creatures of the Upside Down, including the Mind Flayer, through a shared hive mind. Thus, Henry Creel is the one calling the shots; in fact, Henry is the Mind Flayer
Steve Harrington will die
Steve's character was initially meant to die in season 2. But owing to the immense fan love, the Duffer Brothers changed the plan and rewrote the character, played by Joe Keery. Steve went on to become the group's "babysitter" and a beloved member. While Steve seems like a good candidate to sacrifice himself to save the others as a culmination to his jerk-to-hero arc, his death would hit hard. That would also in all probability trigger the group to pick up arms with a bigger force to end Vecna.
Will and Max becoming key to Vecna's mind
Both Will and Max have had direct friction with Vecna and his Upside Down. The theory around Max suggests her consciousness is trapped in Vecna's mind, allowing her to act as an internal spy to relay his plans to the Hawkins crew. Given her close encounter with Vecna, she got a unique insight into his mind, potentially enabling her to communicate with Eleven or others to help defeat him from the inside. Max is believed to be trapped in a mental battle with Vecna, potentially holding key information or memories about Henry Creel that can be used against him. Another alternative suggests Max could be possessed by Vecna and become a new villain herself.
Meanwhile, we saw how Vecna returned and summoned Will like a leaf. Given Will has been to the Upside Down and been feeling a connection with the alternate dimension, there's a strong possibility that Vecna could use the connection Will has with him to kill Eleven. Will's psychic connection to Vecna makes him a potential vulnerability or tool for Vecna, but also his greatest adversary, with some theories suggesting he could become Vecna's host or a hero to defeat him. Another theory suggests that Vecna could turn Will into Kas.
Eleven's sacrifice to save Hawkins
A possibility claims Eleven will sacrifice herself to save Hawkins, potentially by permanently sealing the Upside Down or by destroying the dimension from within. This theory is supported by clues in the show's narrative arc, with her journey seemingly leading to this ultimate act of heroism, and by fan interpretations of the season 5 trailer, which hints at her being prepared to make this sacrifice.Which theory you think could be true?
