TV actor Rajendra Chawla is playing the lead role in Zee TV’s show, Lakshmi Niwas. It is the Hindi adaptation of the ongoing Marathi show, Lakshmi Niwas. Rajendra is paired opposite Manasi Joshi Roy in the show. In an exclusive interview with Zoom/Telly Talk India, Rajendra Chawla has given a strong reaction to the 8-hour shift debate. He expressed his disappointment over many actors throwing tantrums on the sets and demanded lesser working hours for peace. He also asked them to respect work and be grateful for what they have in their hands. Rajendra also showered praises on his co-star Manasi Joshi Roy.

During a candid conversation with us, we asked Rajendra Chawla about his take on the 8-hour shift debate in showbiz. The actor said, “I don't have any issues with the working hours. I have come here to work. I love my work. When an actor works, he or she starts cribbing about the work schedule and other things associated with the work. I always say that this is what I asked for from God. I have my personal tagline – 'Frustrate hoke sone se behtar hai, thak ke sona' (It's better to sleep after being tired than to sleep feeling frustrated). Otherwise, when you don't have work, you start valuing it.”

Moreover, he also explained how many actors crib about the workload and shift timings when they have work. Rajendra Chawla stated, “Many people forget that. People throw tantrums and complain about erratic schedules. When you sit idle at home for six months, what do you do then? Jab kaam aata hai tab aapko nakhre sujhate hai. You are blessed that you have work. There are so many people seeking jobs in our country. It is indeed a blessing on you. Just respect that and keep working hard.”

Rajendra Chawla Is All Praise For Manasi Joshi Roy

When asked about his experience working with Manasi Joshi Roy, Rajendra Chawla said, “She is a wonderful person. She is a very sorted person. Her entire family is associated with theatre. So, she knows everything about acting. She is the second generation of her family who is actively working in the acting field. She knows what to do. She understands the sur of the character, and we complement each other quite nicely.” Talking about Rajendra Chawla, the actor has worked in shows such as Astitva Ek Prem Kahani, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann, Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai, Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, Saas Bina Sasural, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, Tera Yaar Hoon Main and so on.
