About Karuppu
Karuppu is a Tamil fantasy courtroom drama directed by RJ Balaji. The story centers on Binu and her father, who travel to Chennai for her liver transplant, carrying 60 sovereigns of gold to fund the surgery, only for the gold to be stolen. While the police recover part of it, the items remain locked in court. Exploited by the manipulative advocate Baby Kannan, who drags the case endlessly, the family faces emotional and financial ruin.
