Towards the end of her presentation, she claims to be submitting her 2200-page thesis, something even actual PhD students are finding too far fetched to digest.Taking to various social media platforms, research scholars are expressing their disbelief over various aspects of PhD depicted in the film. One of them recalled working on their thesis every single day for four years to prepare a 385-page thesis. Their post read - "Almost everything said and done in this film in the name of a PhD is a joke."Another expressed their wished to "meet this PhD student who writes a 2200-page thesis" and added that makers should "at least try to sound a bit realistic". While the film is generating all sorts of reactions after its Netflix premiere, it proved to be a success story in theatres. The coming together of Dhanush and Aanand L Rai in an intense romantic drama after Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re had cinegoers excited. Despite mixed reviews, Tere Ishk Mein went on to cross Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office. It would have earned even more if Dhurandhar hadn't arrived a week later.Promoted as the spiritual sequel to Raanjhanaa, Tere Ishk Mein was made on a budget of Rs 85 crore and earned around Rs 148 crore at the box office. The film follows Dhanush's Shankar, who suffers from anger issues. He falls in love with Kriti's Mukti and goes to extreme lengths to win her over, only to face rejection at the end.
