In a recent interview, Rakesh Bedi opened up about his life after the spy thriller's mammoth success. In the same conversation, he reacted to being compared with Pakistani politician Nabil Gabol. Bedi's role, Jameel Jamali, is reportedly inspired by him.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Bedi said that he and Nabil Gabol may resemble each other, but that doesn't mean he has impersonated the Pakistani politician. The Dhurandhar 2 actor stated he hasn't 'copied' Gabol at all. "Initially, after the first part, he was a bit upset and even considered legal action. But after the sequel, he’s grown fond of me," he said.

And while the veteran actor has seen successful phases in his career, the current one feels different. He further recalled the wonderful phases of his career, when he did Ek Duuje Ke Liye, Chashme Buddoor, Yeh Ho Hai Zindagi and Shrimaan Shrimati. Earlier, there was no social media. Today, Bedi believes that success multiplies quickly, but negativity can be managed instantly too.

Continuing the conversation, Bedi revealed that he has been getting a lot of work after Dhurandhar 2's success. However, the veteran actor is trying to manage as much as he can, considering his age and physical limitations. He even admitted to saying no to some things. Having said that, Bedi feels matching audience's expectations is now tough, not just for him but everyone. "These are once-in-a-lifetime moments, and not everyone gets them," he added.

Apart from discussing the above-mentioned topics, the Dhurandhar 2 actor opened up about his social media popularity after the film's success. Before part 2 arrived, the actor had 2 lakh followers on Instagram, which has now increased x3 times. Bedi earlier wondered how influencers would earn millions of followers. But now, he has realised what a reel can achieve overnight. And while he is still trying to process it, the actor is simply going with the ride.
