During the audio launch event in Malaysia, the actor announced his plans to retire from films. “When I entered the cinema, I thought I was building a small sand house here. What I would like to say to fans is that you don’t have to worry about it," he remarked, adding, “For now, I cannot say if Jana Nayagan is a remake of Bhagavanth Kesari or not. Those who think it is a remake and question why they have to watch it again, I suggest you wait until the first show ends. You will get the answer then. The trailer and songs will also give you further clarity. But what I can say is that it is a Thalapathy film.”
