Arora has come under fire several times during his time on MTV's Splitsvilla 16. The reality TV personality got candid about his relationship with fellow contestant Diksha Pawar and the fallout after their breakup. Himanshu spoke about the unfollow drama that got fans assuming several things about their relationship. He also shared that their relationship was under scrutiny no matter what. Viewers would their relationship was planned and when they broke up, that would be perceived as planned as well. Speaking with Zoom, Himanshu revealed that he was a bit shocked to find out that Diksha had unfollowed him on Instagram. He said, "I did not know I was unfollowed, first of all. I came to know one or two days later. I understood all the problems but I thought we'll fix. We'll sit, we will have a conversation and fix it."

It's not only that Diksha was only wrong, he also admits his mistakes. But Himanshu added, "When one person decides to step back, one person should not have that power. I could also step back. I also had a lot of things I didn't like. I could also unfollow. It did affect how people see things and Diksha also is quite aware. The only person I talked to the entire season was Diksha. I did not set my eyes on any other show inside or outside the show." He went to shared that being unfollowed publicly stung. He also felt that Diksha should have also highlighted some positive aspects about him instead of just focusing on the negative parts in her interviews. "I didn't get to have a conversation and it has come out in a way that I have done something wrong. For me, I feel like she could have initiated a conversation. My first instinct wasn't to unfollow her. I texted her, I called her and even after numerous times of me calling her, texting her, she did not reply. And then I unfollowed her. He didn't allege that Yogesh and Akanksha had planned their relationship but if you looked at it from a preconceived lens then everyone can be examined that way. "At the end of the day, there will be a chunk that will believe whatever you are doing is wrong. And there will be a chunk that will believe that whatever you are doing is right.
