Tisca Chopra's Exclusive Interview
Recently, Tisca sat for an exclusive conversation with Zoom while promoting her film and shared her views on today's generation and infidelity, a topic that is the basis of her recently released film,
Saali Mohabbat. She said, "I think to me it's a very simple thing. You've made a contract first with yourself. The first thing that you say I will be with this person and you make up your mind about it. Sure, if you change your mind, let the other person know you've changed your mind. You know, you're breaking your contract to yourself and I think self-respect comes from self-discipline."Further, she added, "If you don't have the self-discipline to be honest and sincere about the promise that you've made to yourself, you're cheating yourself. There are lots of single mothers who are bringing up three, four children and doing their own thing. Or be honest, it's that I want my cake and I want to eat it too. I want you at home as my wife, but I also want the secretary on the side.""People, the other person also already knows from your body language. They may even be lying to themselves. So, it's a very complicated maze of things that go on between people," concluded the actor-director.
More About Saali Mohabbat
Coming back to
Saali Mohabbat, it's a film with a promising premise but not enough bite. Tisca’s attempt at a slow-burning thriller has moments that draw you in. I was instantly reminded of Chutney, the popular short film she starred in a few years back. It almost feels like we’re witnessing the beginnings of a Tisca Chopra cinematic universe.Watch
