In a post shared by Badshah on Friday, April 10, he addressed the controversy surrounding Tateeree and spoke about a revised version of the song, titled Tateeree Phir Se. The new version is set to release on April 14, amid the widespread criticism over certain portions of the original track that many listeners found objectionable.

For those unaware, over the past few weeks, the song had drawn sharp reactions, particularly from groups who felt that some lyrics and visuals did not align with cultural sensitivities. He said that he had carefully listened to what people had to say and had worked on making changes accordingly. Portions of the song that were flagged as inappropriate have now been removed from the updated version.
In his message, the 40-year-old rapper addressed people of Haryana as well as his wider audience. He said that he appreciates both their support and their feelings. He stated that being an artist means being responsible, not just for your own creativity but also for society and culture. According to him, the intention was never to hurt anyone, and the revised version reflects a more mindful approach.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Badshah apologised to the NCW (National Commission for Women) over the controversy surrounding his song
Tateeree and pledged two initiatives. He spoke about sponsoring the education of 50 girls from economically weaker sections and releasing a female empowerment song within four months.
