Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to feature in the sequel of Raat Akeli Hai – The Bansal Murders, which is releasing on Netflix on December 19, 2025. The actor is known for doing different kinds of films in his career. Recently, in an exclusive interview with Zoom, Nawazuddin opened up about supporting independent filmmakers in their fights to get space in theatres. Nawazuddin also mentioned the independent films gave India recognition on the global platform. Moreover, he also believes in doing a variety of cinema. According to the Sacred Games star, the actor should do different kinds of roles to get satisfaction. He feels nobody likes to do the same type of roles. We must say, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has managed to maintain the balance between commercial
and independent films. Chitrangada Singh also supported his thoughts during the same interaction.
During a candid chat with us, Nawazuddin Siddiqui confessed that he will keep supporting independent filmmakers in their fight to get space in theatres. He said, “Variety of cinema should be there so that the audience would get a chance to explore different kinds of cinema. I have always been supporting this. There should be creative and artistic cinema. We need to support all kinds of cinema.”
While speaking about his process, Nawazuddin Siddiqui stated, “As far as my process is concerned, I always try to do difficult things. Once you start doing it, by that time you will start feeling easiness while doing it. He said, “Independent cinema has given the country global recognition. I like to do all kinds of films. The actor also gets satisfaction from it. If you keep doing the same kinds of films, you will get bored, as it is like a job.
