After
Loveyapa, Junaid Khan's new film, Mere Raho, with Sai Pallavi, was apparently supposed to release. The film's post-production and shooting had reportedly wrapped in April 2025. And the makers had apparently to release Mere Raho in theatres on December 12, 2025. However, trade sources informed a tabloid that the release was delayed due to multiple releases in December 2025. And now, it has been reported that the film will have a Summer 2026 release. The makers are reportedly eyeing July release for Mere Raho. Read on to know more details...
Update on Junaid Khan, Sai Pallavi's Mere Raho release
Talking about the film's postponement, a source told Mid-Day, "December is a high-pressure corridor. Dhurandhar was big and Aamir had pre-empted it. Moreover, December had another big ticket rom-com lined up with Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday-starrer [
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri]. Thus, it made commercial sense to de-clutter the calendar and avoid overlap, especially at the distribution and exhibition level."
The report further suggests that
Mere Raho will release in July 2026. "July offers better leg room for a film like Mere Raho. It needs time, repeat value, and controlled screen density. The summer corridor allows the film to breathe without the noise that comes with the festive and holiday rush," the source added.
Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi's work front
Meanwhile, on the work front, Junaid was last seen in
Loveyapa with Khushi Kapoor. The film got mixed reactions when it released in theatres. The actor made his acting debut with
Maharaj on Netflix.
As for Sai, the actress will be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana this year. She plays the role of Goddess Sita while Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Ram. Yash, on the other hand, essays the character of Ravan. The film is set to release in theatres on Diwali 2026.
