Shah Rukh Khan's King just locked in the release date? As per new reports, the film, backed by Siddharth Anand, is set to release in December this year, aiming to be the Christmas release. It also suggested
that the film earlier considered December 4 but that was the release date of Ramayana: Part 1 and hence Christmas looked the appropriate time. Though an official statement is still awaited, the announcement is set to be made at the earliest in the coming weeks. The script reportedly involves Sujoy Ghosh (story), Siddharth Anand, Suresh Nair, and Sagar Pandya, with dialogues by Abbas Tyrewala.
SRK's King backs Christmas 2026 release
As per reports by Bollywood Hungama, King will be making Christmas release, i.e. December 25, 2026 after keeping a considerate gap with Ramayana Part 1's debut. Source close to the news portal said, "The duo of SRK and Sid were brainstorming several options for their release, and the two in the forefront were - December 4 and December 25.
