Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has given a sweet shoutout to his grandson Agastya Nanda as the makers of his debut film Ikkis dropped the film's trailer today. The Don actor has penned a beautiful note
recalling Agastya's childhood and how he played with Big B's beard. He also penned a sweet wish for Agastya in a special note. For those unaware, Agastya Nanda plays the role of youngest Param Veer Chakra Awardee Arun Khetarpal in the biogpraphical war drama helmed by Sriram Raghavan.

Taking to his official X handle (formerly known as Twitter), the Sholay actor unveiled the trailer of Ikkis. Alongside the post, he penned a note extending best wishes. He wrote, " Agastya ! I held you in my hands as soon as you were born .. few months later, I held you again in my hands and your soft fingers reached out to play with my beard ..TODAY you play in Theatres all over the World .." Earlier in the day, Agastya's sister Navya also gave a sweet shoutout to brother Agastya after his debut film Ikkis' trailer release. She wrote on Instagram, "Woh Ikkis Ka Tha, Ikkis Ka Hi Rahega! The trailer of Ikkis gives viewersa powerful glimpse into the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee. Agastya Nanda portrays the fearless 21-year-old soldier who vows to win the next Param Vir Chakra for his regiment, embodying courage, honour, and sacrifice. The trailer showcases his intense military training, moments of camaraderie, and a touch of romance that humanises the brave young officer. The trailer also features Simar Bhatia, Akshay Kumar's Niece and Ikkis is touted as her debut film too.

Dharmendra plays Arun’s grandfather, a proud veteran whose tales of valour inspire Arun’s sense of duty, while Jaideep Ahlawat appears as a Pakistani officer who acknowledges Arun’s bravery, respected even across enemy lines. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis promises to be a heartfelt tribute to a national hero. The movie is set to release in theatres in December 2025. However, the official release date isn't announced yet.
