Tabu Is Glad She's Not A Gen Z Actor, Happy To Make Her Acting Debut In 1990s

The ageless Tabu turned heads at a fashion show for Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla on November 13. Dressed in black as a showstopper for the legendary fashion designers, the Crew actress also revealed why she

was glad not to make her debut in current times. She also spoke about her character's romance on the HBO Max series Dune: Prophecy.

Tabu glad to make her acting debut in the 1990s

After the fashion show, Tabu told Diet Sabya if she would debut as a Gen Z actor now. She stated, "I don't think I'll be entering the movies now. I'm happy I did when it did it." As a child actor, she was part of Dev Anand's Hum Naujawan (1985), where she played his daughter. Her first role as a lead came in Pehla Pehla Pyar (1994) opposite Rishi Kapoor.

As the showstopper, Tabu wore a striking revival of Abu Sandeep's iconic Architectural Coat. Working with the designer duo for 25 years, the actress also added, "I have always worn Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for my most special occasions, and I am so glad to call them my friends. They are masters of making a woman feel beautiful. Why Tabu doesn't want a romance like her Dune: Prophecy character

Last year, the actress was part of the HBO Max prequel series Dune: Prophecy as Sister Francesca. She played Emperor Javicco Corrino's (Mark Strong) former lover and the mother of Constantine (Josh Heuston). When asked about her character on the show, Tabu told Diet Sabya that she didn't want a love story like that. She said, "It'll be a very difficult love story because it was a difficult and tragic love story. I actually don't want to have that kind of a love story in real life." In the first season, both Javicco and Francesca meet with a gruesome fate. The second season of Dune: Prophecy has already begun filming. Tabu's upcoming projects include Bhooth Bangla and an untitled Telugu film with Vijay Sethupathi.
