The streaming platform confirmed that the film Youth will be available from April 16. The comedy entertainer will be released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, ensuring accessibility to a wider audience. Apart from playing the lead role, Ken Karunas has also written and directed the film, making it a significant milestone in his career.
During a media interaction, Ken Karunas shared an emotional moment involving his father, Karunas. After watching the film in a packed theatre, his father was moved by the audience’s reaction. Seeing him emotional and proud made the success even more meaningful for Ken.

Youth has received a strong response both critically and commercially, emerging as one of the surprise hits of the year.Made on a modest budget of around Rs 6 crore, the film has performed exceptionally well at the box office. Within just 15 days, it crossed Rs 40 crore in India net collections, delivering a remarkable return on investment of over 500 percent.

Set in 2014 Chennai, Youth follows the journey of Praveen, played by Ken Karunas, a carefree young man with little interest in academics. His mother Saroja, portrayed by Devadarshini, dreams of him becoming an IAS officer. Despite his laid-back attitude, Praveen manages to get into college, where his life takes a turn. He experiences multiple relationships, falling in love with Preshika, played by Meenakshi Dinesh, and later developing feelings for Sonal, portrayed by Priyanshi Yadav. However, both relationships fail. Eventually, he finds himself drawn to Gaganavalli, played by Anishma Anilkumar. This time, she sets a condition before accepting his love, which becomes a turning point in his life. The story unfolds as Praveen go through responsibility, and his mother’s aspirations.
Ken Karunas leads Youth as Praveen, alongside Suraj Venjaramoodu as his father and Devadarshini as his mother, with Nalini in a key supporting role. The film also features Anishma Anilkumar, Meenakshi Dinesh, and Priyanshi Yadav in prominent roles.Supporting performances come from Abison Thevarasa, Eshwar Santhanalakshmi, Sarath, Karen Vincent, and Sony Daffodil.Music composer GV Prakash Kumar also played a key role in the film’s journey. He revealed that he chose to work on Youth without taking a salary due to his close bond with Karunas and his family.
