It was an unforgettable day for sports fans at Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium, as Lionel Messi arrived as part of his GOAT India Tour 2025. The event began with the anchor energising the crowd, as chants of “Messi, Messi, Messi” echoed across the stadium ahead of his arrival. Renowned DJ Chetas set the mood with a special musical set, featuring a mix of Bollywood and international tracks, including Ed Sheeran’s Sapphire, K’Naan’s Wavin’ Flag, the 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem, and B Praak’s Teri Mitti.A friendly football match followed between Indian Stars and Mitra Stars. The Indian Star team included actors Tiger Shroff and Jim Sarbh, along with footballers Nikhil Poojari and Bala Devi. Mitra Stars featured Sunil Chhetri alongside his Bengaluru FC teammates Rahul Bheke and Chinglensana Singh Konsham.
