After SRK's King, Akshay Kumar's Welcome To The Jungle Dubai Song Shoot Cancelled; Massive Sets To Come Up In Mumbai

ongoing geopolitical tension between the United States, Israel, and Iran has now begun to cast a shadow on Bollywood's big-budget productions. The makers of Akshay Kumar's highly anticipated comedy film Welcome To The Jungle have been forced to cancel their Dubai shoot schedule. The star-studded film will now film a grand song sequence in Mumbai ahead of its May release. This development comes just days after a similar setback reportedly hit Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming biggie King, whose Dubai schedule was also reportedly cancelled due to the same conflict.

Welcome To The Jungle Dubai Song Shoot Cancelled

Director Ahmed Khan was supposed to fly to Dubai along with Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal, Disha Patani, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, Shreyas Talpade, and several others for the shoot. However, the team will now be shooting the song in Mumbai.

Ahmed confirmed that the production waited for nearly a month, hoping conditions in Dubai would stabilise. When that did not happen, the decision was taken to shift the shoot entirely to Mumbai. He stated that a glamorous and large-scale song featuring the film's entire cast was originally envisioned to be filmed in Dubai as the city perfectly matched the lavish mood of the sequence.To ensure the visual grandeur is not compromised, massive sets are now being constructed at three major locations, Madh Island, Golden Tobacco Studio, and Film City in Mumbai. Production designer Sailesh Mhadik is overseeing these sets, which will recreate opulent environments including nightclubs, casinos, and private jets. The song shoot is scheduled to begin on April 15.

Welcome To The Jungle is the third instalment in the much-loved Welcome franchise. The film has been in the making for the past couple of years, with shooting wrapped up in December last year. It is slated to release on June 26, 2026.It boasts an enormous ensemble cast of over 30 actors, featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever, Lara Dutta, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Urvashi Rautela, and many others.This third instalment does not feature the original Uday and Majnu, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor.
