Times Now
Speaking at the India Economic Conclave 2025, CP Gurnani, Co-Founder & Vice Chairman, AIONOS said artificial intelligence (AI) should not be seen as something complex or intimidating, especially for older
generations. He stressed that AI tools are becoming increasingly simple and conversational. According to him, AI tools are accessible to people of all ages.Sharing a personal example, Gurnani said even seniors can adapt quickly once they get a basic introduction to AI-powered tools. He explained that voice-based assistants and chat platforms allow users to interact naturally. "My mother-in-law who is about 90 plus, she stays with us. She talks to Alexa. She uses an iPad and whatever work she does, she is able to talk to the ChatGPT, get an answer and so I think it is very easy to use. It is for us to help them get the taste of that. Then they will be hooked I promise you they will use it more than I will use it," he said.
"You just talk to it and get answers," he said, adding that this ease of use is what makes AI powerful. According to Gurnani, the real challenge is not technology itself, but helping people take the first step. Once users experience the convenience of AI, they often become regular users. He pointed out that many seniors today already use digital platforms to stay updated on news, daily routines, hobbies and personal interests.
He also stressed how algorithms shape everyday digital experiences from health tips to lifestyle content, showing that AI is already deeply embedded in daily life. Rather than resisting it, he said people should learn to understand and use it responsibly. Gurnani concluded that AI adoption will not be limited by age but by mindset. With the right exposure and guidance, he believes AI can become a helpful companion for everyone, simplifying tasks and improving access to information across generations.
