On this milestone, director Venkat Prabhu has taken to social media to express gratitude to fans who appreciated the film.

Sharing a poster of the film, director Venkat Prabhu posted "When we made this crazy time-loop film #Maanaadu, I believed one thing for sure that our audience will get it…And you all got it MORE than we imagined! Maanaadu starred Silambarasan, as an NRI, and SJ Suryah, as a police officer, who are trapped in a time loop on the day of a public conference and forced to live the same day on repeat until they find a way to get out of it.Apart from Simbu and SJ Suryah, the ensemble cast of the film included Kalyani Priyadarshan, Manoj Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, YG Mahendran, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash and Anjena Kirti.On the work front, Venkat Prabhu, will be collaborating with Parashakti star Sivakarthikeyan, for a high-budget sci-fi film. Confirming the same in a video, Venkat Prabhu said that the pre-production is currently underway. The director said, “I am going to begin the shoot for my next film soon. Everyone knows that it will be with Sivakarthikeyan.”
