Priyanka revealed that she is feeling like losing a piece of her childhood with Asha ji’s death. Priyanka Chopra shared a post on Instagram with a long caption in which she stated, “There are some losses that feel like losing a piece of your childhood, your memories, your home. Asha Ji was that for so many of us.” The Varanasi actress further mentioned that Asha Bhosle’s voice was not just a part of Indian music but was also a part of the backdrop of people’s lives. Her voice was loved in every household. She was simply a legend for every generation.
“It is hard to put into words what it means to lose someone whose art helped shape the emotional landscape of an entire nation,” PeeCee added. Priyanka thanked Asha Bhosle for giving everyone a lifetime of songs, feeling and beauty. Asha Bhosle was rushed to Breach Candy Hospital on April 11 due to chest congestion. Unfortunately, the singer died on April 12 due to multiple organ failure. Her son Anand Bhosle informed media about her demise and said that she will be cremated at Shivaji Park on April 13 at 4 pm. Asha Bhosle had been one of the most famous singers in the late 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. She also lent her voice to popular indie-pop songs. She was a living legend from the golden era of Indian music. Ever since the news about her death broke, several celebrities, people and politicians have been paying tributes to her on social media.
