BTS is coming, and we finally know WHEN! Our beloved OT7: Jin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook are just weeks, if not months, away from making the hugely awaited comeback on stage in 2026. ARMYs
woke up to the massive announcement on January 1, 2026, as BIGHIT MUSIC kicked off the New Year following some social media drama! This is after the K-pop band kept ARMYs on their toes for months with clues, guessing games and teases about the schedule of their impending world tour. The official date is out! So here's a call for the ARMYs to get their tickets in place...
BTS comeback is happening!
Early on the first day on 2026, Korean media reported that BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed that BTS would be making their return on March 20, 2026. "We have confirmed that they will make a comeback on March 20. This marks approximately 3 years and 9 months since they last released a full-group album, which was the anthology album Proof in June 2022," AtStar1 reported.
Another statement read, "On the 1st, Big Hit Music announced BTS' comeback on March 20th. It has been about 3 years and 9 months since the release of the anthology album 'Proof' in June 2022 that they are releasing a full album."
BTS' holds New Year countdown with ARMYs
This came hours after all seven members rang in the New Year together with the ARMYs during a Weverse live. With the entire band assembling at RM's new house, they were in their signature chaotic mood, jumping on and from Namjoon's sofa, giggling and being all messy. Amid all the laughter, they brought in the countdown as the clock struck 12.
BTS social media goes BLACK
On the sides, all the official social media accounts of BTS were teasing fans, too. The pages went empty as all the previous posts were either deleted or archived. While this initially left ARMYs concerned, the mood soon turned into anticipation around the band, ushering in a new era, a new version of themselves in 2026.
BTS hinted the date in handwritten letters
Just a day ago, the official ARMY membership holders received letters containing New Year greetings by all 7 BTS members to their homes. The letter included handwritten messages thanking fans for waiting patiently. It, however,
also sported a tiny text "2026.03.20" that many claimed was the possible date of their comeback. And they were right!
