The much-awaited re-release of Lagaan is confirmed for June 12, 13, and 14, 2026, a special three-day theatrical event marking the film's 25th anniversary. A brand new trailer has already been dropped, flooding fans with nostalgia and reminding everyone just how powerful this film truly is.

The trailer takes viewers back to the dusty fields of 1893 Central India. To the brave villagers, the British officers, the unforgettable music, and that iconic cricket match. It has sent excitement soaring for everyone who loved the film and for a younger generation discovering it fresh.As part of the celebrations, Aamir Khan Productions has also launched a creative campaign called #LagaanPosterChallenge, inviting fans to recreate the film's iconic poster in their own style. Winners of the contest will receive an invitation to attend a special screening alongside the original cast and crew.Lagaan boasts a remarkable ensemble cast led by Aamir Khan in the role of Bhuvan. Alongside him, Gracy Singh plays Gauri, his love interest, while British actors Rachel Shelley and Paul Blackthorne play the colonial antagonists. The supporting cast features seasoned actors like Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Suhasini Mulay, Rajendra Gupta, and AK Hangal. Fan favourites Raghubir Yadav and Rajesh Vivek are also there, while Pradeep Rawat, Akhilendra Mishra, Yashpal Sharma, Daya Shankar Pandey, Shrivallabh Vyas, Raj Zutshi, Amin Hajee, Aditya Lakhia, and Javed Khan rounded out the village cricket team.
