After
much wait and a lot of anticipation, renowned Rapper Kanye West also known as Ye is set to perform in India for the first time, with a one-night-only event titled Ye Live In India. It has been scheduled for May 23 in New Delhi. The concert will take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, where organisers Wizcraft, White Fox and Laqshya Entertainment are planning a large-scale production. As fans kick off countdown to the mega event, we have an exciting piece of news! According to a recent report, the biggest highlight of the concert is that the globe stage used during Ye’s show at SoFi Stadium will be recreated for the Delhi event.
Kanye West to bring 'bully' globe to concert in India
According to a report in Variety India, the 48-year-old rapper's show is being designed as a fully immersive experience rather than a traditional concert. As per Sara Awwad of Studio Majime, who is leading the creative direction, the production will rely heavily on advanced stage technology brought in specifically for this performance.
At the centre of the setup is the now widely discussed “Bully” globe structure. The design aims to create a 360-degree environment, where visuals are not confined to a single stage but extend across the entire venue. Using projection mapping and layered visual storytelling, the space will continuously change, placing the audience inside shifting, cinematic worlds that evolve alongside the music.
More about 'bully' globe stadium at Ye's concert
The stage concept has been developed by
Ye along with Austin Taylor from his core team. Before the show, key members of the international production team, like lighting experts from See You Later LA and John McGuire from Trask House, will be in India working closely with local teams to set up. The stage's technology lets surfaces change in real time. It uses lighting, spatial design, and projections to make illusions that move with the performance. The goal is to make the whole stadium a living, moving space instead of just a stage with one main point of interest.
Interestingly, the makers are not positioning any specific area as the “best seat.” Since the show is designed in 360 degrees, every section of the stadium is expected to offer a different perspective. Whether on the ground or in the stands, the experience is meant to feel equally engaging from all sides. With preparations underway, the May 23 event is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious live music experiences staged in India.
