Director RJ Balaji, who has both written and helmed the film, has hinted that Trisha’s role will be one of the strongest in her career. Speaking about the actress, he said it is not easy to be Trisha, subtly pointing at the challenges she has faced and overcome in her journey. Her character appears to be central to the film’s conflict, complementing Suriya’s role as Saravanan, another lawyer. Karuppu, Suriya plays Saravanan, a lawyer who is reportedly worshipped like a deity by those he helps. The story is set in a chaotic world plagued by fear, injustice, and suffering, where Saravanan emerges as an unlikely saviour. As per IMDb, he plot follows a lawyer (Suriya) who becomes possessed by a deity (Karuppasamy) to battle injustice against marginalised communities. The music, including the enchanting background score, is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, whose work has already been receiving praise. The composer is working on his sophomore Tamil project with
Karuppu. The technical team includes cinematographer GK Vishnu, editor R Kalaivanan, and production designer Arun Venjaramoodu. Action sequences are handled by stunt choreographers Anbariv and Vikram Mor, promising high-octane moments.
Apart from Suriya and Trisha, the film features a diverse ensemble cast including Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Yogi Babu, and others in key roles.
